Here are some of our favourite learning experiences:

In October, Reception went to Hyde Park to look for signs of Autumn. We collected some twigs, conkers and colourful leaves. We observed how the weather and the environment change in Autumn. Our parents and teachers played some fun games with us during our trip. We had a lovely afternoon!

The Nursery and Reception children were learning about “Ourselves” in Autumn 1 term and the homework project was to design a house or make a family tree.

Here are some of our favourite learning experiences from the Academic Year 2015-16:

In October, Reception invited their teddy bears to school to have a picnic! We enjoyed having some healthy snacks and spending some time with our parents who came to share the experience with us.

In the Spring term, Nursery and Reception learnt all about ‘Growth and Change’. We went on Spring walks looking for new flowers and planted our own seeds and beans. The children enjoyed going on minibeast hunts around the school garden. We were lucky enough to have some eggs which we watched hatch and grow into little chicks. At the end of the term, we invited our parents in to help make bonnets and Easter baskets. Finally, we all took part in the Easter Bonnet Parade.

We love making and creating in Nursery and Reception! Every term the children are given a project to complete at home. The children love working with their parents on school projects as they can share their ideas and have fun together! They are proud to share their work with their peers and teachers at school and to have their work displayed.
