At Hallfield children have opportunities to attend a range of clubs and courses before, during and after school.  Everyday we offer breakfast club (from 8am).  We also offer booster classes and homework clubs amongst others.

Breakfast Club runs every school day from 8am until the school starts. The charge is £1.20 per day, payable termly, and there are discounts for siblings. Ad-hoc access to the club is possible if there is availability, and the charge is £2 per session.

Breakfast is served by our in-house staff and we provide the following foods/drinks at breakfast:

• Toast 50/50 bread and toppings including low fat spread, mild cheddar cheese, or low sugar jam
• A selection of low sugar cereals
• Fresh fruit
• Milk
• Yoghurt
• Water

After school clubs

Monday: Drama & performing arts (KS2) – and Football (KS2) - both payable by parents

Tuesday:  Basketball (KS2)  - free

Thursday: Bike Year 3 & Year 4 - free

Friday: Tennis (KS2) – free

New After School Club - wraparound (3.30 to 6pm)

From September, we will no longer run a permanent wraparound service directly at Hallfield. Instead, we are partnering with St James & St Johns School and offer a walking bus service.

Here’s how it will work:

• At the end of the school day, a Hallfield teaching assistant will walk registered children to St James & St Johns School.

• All wraparound sessions will take place at St James & St Johns.

• Parents/carers will need to collect children from St James & St Johns at the end of the club.

Booking information

• When booking with JAG, please book sessions at St James & St Johns School, not Hallfield.

• You will need to add St James & St Johns as a centre within your JAG account.

How to update your JAG account:

1. Visit your JAG account online.
2. Select Children.
3. Select Edit Child Details.
4. Choose the correct school your child attends (St James & St Johns School).

Children's University

We are delighted to be a part of Westminster Children’s University. This is a fantastic organisation that recognises the importance of activities which take place outside the school day.

These activities may be afternoon clubs, brownies, cubs, sport’s clubs, holiday clubs or visits to museums and tourist attractions participating in the scheme.

Selected children are given a Passport to Learning. For every hour of extra-curricular learning they take part in they receive a stamp in their passport. Children will carry their passports with them until they are 14 years old and over the course of the years will work towards the nationally recognised awards for 30, 65 or 100 hours of learning. Having achieved this, children will be invited to celebrate their achievements at graduation ceremonies.

As well as recognising and valuing our children’s learning outside school hours, becoming a member of the Children’s University encourages confidence, a sense of achievement and aspirations.
