Children's University
We are delighted to be a part of Westminster Children’s University. This is a fantastic organisation that recognises the importance of activities which take place outside the school day.
These activities may be afternoon clubs, brownies, cubs, sport’s clubs, holiday clubs or visits to museums and tourist attractions participating in the scheme.
Selected children are given a Passport to Learning. For every hour of extra-curricular learning they take part in they receive a stamp in their passport. Children will carry their passports with them until they are 14 years old and over the course of the years will work towards the nationally recognised awards for 30, 65 or 100 hours of learning. Having achieved this, children will be invited to celebrate their achievements at graduation ceremonies.
As well as recognising and valuing our children’s learning outside school hours, becoming a member of the Children’s University encourages confidence, a sense of achievement and aspirations. For more information about the Children’s University, please visit their website at www.childrensuniversity.co.uk
We have a Children's University section in our blog, which includes news and events at Hallfield.
